The FIP Bronze Jakarta 2026 reached its conclusion on Sunday, 12 July at Rana Grounds Mampang in South Jakarta, delivering a men's final worthy of the week and a bittersweet ending to Indonesia's most successful campaign of the tournament.
Men's final: the seeds meet at last
Pablo Pastor Landaburu (ESP) and Kevin Uriel Kviatkovski (ARG) claimed the title, defeating top seeds Cristobal Garcia Blanco (ESP) and Diego Arredondo García (MEX) 7-6(6), 6-2. The opening set was the match: neither pair could force a break of consequence, and Pastor Landaburu and Kviatkovski edged a tight tiebreak 8-6. Once ahead, the second seeds pulled clear, taking the second set 6-2 to complete the win.
Both finalists had survived scares to get there. Garcia Blanco and Arredondo García came through the tougher semi-final, recovering from a set down against Marc Bernils Garcia (ESP) and Armando Soemarno and eventually prevailing 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(5) — a third-set tiebreak that ended Indonesian hopes in the men's draw. Pastor Landaburu and Kviatkovski had an easier passage, beating Juan Carlos Gama Gonzalez (ESP) and Irfandy Hendrawan 6-1, 7-5.
Women's final: a historic run ends early
Elsa Terranova (ITA) and Angelina Neizvestnaya (RUS) took the women's title, leading Indonesia's Fitriana Sabrina and Fitriani Sabatini 6-1 when the home pair were forced to retire.
It was a subdued end to a remarkable week for the all-Indonesian seventh seeds. Sabrina and Sabatini had reached the final by producing the result of the women's tournament, ousting second seeds Dora Chamli (TUN) and Anastasiia Ryzhova (RUS) 7-6(3), 6-3 in the semi-finals — a win built on a first-set tiebreak they seized against a pair who had barely been troubled all week. Their run to the final, on home soil and as an entirely Indonesian partnership, stands as the headline achievement of the tournament for the host nation.
Terranova and Neizvestnaya were imperious throughout. In the other semi-final they dismantled top seeds Sandra Bellver Fructuoso (ESP) and Novela Putria 6-1, 6-1, having already conceded only a single game across their quarter-final. Their title is fully deserved on the evidence of the week, even if the final itself was denied a proper contest.
The week in summary
The tournament ran from 7 to 12 July, opening with three days of men's qualifying in which four of the sixteen seeds fell on the first day alone. Spanish pairs claimed three of the four qualifying berths, and one of them — Josep Just Bertran and Borja Benítez Salvatierra — went on to reach the men's quarter-finals. Indonesian pairs reached the semi-finals of both draws, with Fitriana Sabrina and Fitriani Sabatini going one better and contesting the final.
