The main draw of the FIP Bronze Jakarta 2026 opened on Friday, 10 July at Rana Grounds Mampang in South Jakarta with 32 matches across both genders — and the home crowd was rewarded almost immediately.
Mike Tanoso and Christian Alvin Edison delivered the result of the day, tearing apart third seeds Miguel Gonzalez (ESP) and Dico Ganinduto 6-2, 6-0 to reach the Round of 16. Neils Koesoemahadi and Bryan Husin matched them for significance, eliminating eighth seeds Singgih Ario Suselo and Jeremy Juanito 6-4, 6-2 in an all-Indonesian contest.
The Spanish qualifiers wasted no time proving their credentials. Jose Antonio Macia Herrera and Aitor Ribera, who had come through three rounds of qualifying, recovered from losing the opening set to beat seventh seeds Zhanibek Umbetov and Rodion Pak (KAZ) 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-0. Their compatriots Josep Just Bertran and Borja Benítez Salvatierra survived the longest match of the day, edging lucky losers Nicolas Maiso Pablos and Enrique Cano Ferrandiz 3-6, 7-6(8), 7-6(3) — saving the second set from the brink before closing out a third-set tiebreak.
Fifth seeds David Quiros Peiro (ESP) and Stefano Wirawan were forced to retire against Sean Zachary Lo Escoto and Aziz Khan (HKG), and by the close four seeded pairs had gone. Top seeds Diego Arredondo García (MEX) and Cristobal Garcia Blanco (ESP) were untroubled, dispatching Indonesian qualifiers Indra Wahyu Anshari and Muhamad Tito Zuhda Irhami 6-2, 6-1. Second seeds Pablo Pastor Landaburu (ESP) and Kevin Uriel Kviatkovski (ARG) were equally efficient, beating I Putu Anandana Adi Guna and Iqbal Bilal Saputra 6-1, 6-1. Sixth seeds Carlos Marti (ESP) and Justin Kuo won 6-3, 6-1.
Home players advanced in numbers. Zar Lasahido and Muhammad Al Furqan came through an all-Indonesian tiebreak against Mario Yohakim Prayanto and Jones Pratama 6-3, 7-6(4); Muhammad Nuzhul Patoreang Ijul and Afullah Muhsyarif Aul beat wild cards Muh Rezky Jabir Kiki and Raid Rahmat Laleno Mamat 6-3, 6-3; and Armando Soemarno (with Marc Bernils Garcia), Valentinus Wibawa (with Iván Montes Balleste), Irfandy Hendrawan (with Juan Carlos Gama Gonzalez) and Giorgio Soemarno (with Jose Antonio Arcos) all progressed.
The women's main draw opened alongside, and the leading seeds were imperious. Top seeds Sandra Bellver Fructuoso (ESP) and Novela Putria conceded nothing at all, beating Dian Novita Sari and Ana Ardiana 6-0, 6-0. Second seeds Dora Chamli (TUN) and Anastasiia Ryzhova (RUS) beat Mariya Sinitsyna and Aigerim Suleimen (KAZ) 6-0, 6-4, third seeds Elsa Terranova (ITA) and Angelina Neizvestnaya (RUS) ended the run of qualifiers Samantha Edison and Angela Stefani Nangin 6-2, 6-0, and fourth seeds Alba Gallardo Salvado (ESP) and Melati Anhar won 6-0, 6-1.
The all-Indonesian seventh seeds Fitriana Sabrina and Fitriani Sabatini announced themselves with the most emphatic result of the round, a double bagel over qualifiers Jessica Johan and Siti Sarah, 6-0, 6-0.
Only two women's matches went the distance. Florence Nicole and Angelica Wiratama lost a first-set tiebreak before overpowering Nahla Aufa Dhia Ulhaq and Oxi Gravitas Putri 6-7(6), 6-2, 6-2, while Karyn Emeralda and Nur Rosida Mega Hadiati recovered from a set down to beat Louise Adrina and Reinata Agnes Sidik 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.
